Did anyone see me? Oh no, what if they took a photo? What do I do?
Today was supposed to be a normal day. I got up, had my morning coffee while watching the news. Got dressed moaning about the rainy weather. Stepped outside and got on the bus. This is when things started to go awry.
I need to go. To disappear from here. Now. Before anyone sees me, be it with their eyes or their phone. Run.
Hurrying past the bus driver I almost run inside to get the best seat. My favourite one, right at the back by the left window, where the woods by the road could be seen during the ride. The seat that was always empty. But not today. Today a young man sat in it, looking outside. As I was nearing him, I debated whether sitting next to him so that I could still enjoy my seat would be consired slightly weird or bordeline sociopathic. As if he could hear my inner monologue, he turned his head around and met my gaze.
Darn, another dead end. This place is like a never-ending labyrinth. No matter how far or how quick you run, you can never get out. That’s why I took him here I suppose. It seemed like such a good idea at the time.
